Aaron Becker
Aaron earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. During his time in law school, he worked for the Honorable United States District Court Judge Michael J. McShane where he drafted judicial opinions and worked on federal jury trials. He also clerked at a local litigation firm where he did extensive work on a civil rights case against the Springfield Police Department that ended in the largest settlement for a police excessive force case in state history.
As a law student, Aaron served as Executive Editor for the Oregon Review of International Law and was elected to the University of Oregon Moot Court Board. He volunteered for the Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund while also serving as a tutor for other law students and working as a research assistant. He graduated Order of the Coif in 2020, ranking in the top 10% of his law school class.
After law school, he started his career as a Deputy District Attorney at the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted hundreds of crimes ranging from misdemeanors to major felony and Measure 11 offenses. He drafted and successfully argued complex motions relating to criminal procedure and constitutional law, and was in court every day. He tried a dozen cases before Oregon juries with a very high rate of success. As a prosecutor, he gained a reputation for being fierce in the courtroom and skilled at trying cases.
After his time as a prosecutor, Aaron decided to shift into working in civil litigation at a personal injury firm. While there, he represented clients who were gravely injured in cases ranging from motor vehicle collisions to commercial torts. He drafted and successfully argued motions, took depositions, and participated in mediations as a prelude to opening up his own firm.
At Becker Law, we represent plaintiffs who are injured due to the negligence of others and clients who are accused by the state.
